Historic grade-II listed pub adjacent to the Old Market bus interchange and close to Castle Park and the shopping centre. Home of the 'Pied Poudre' court which settled disputes between traders in the Old Market. The first floor juts out over the entrance and houses the 'Court Room' which is available for functions. There is a raised section to the rear, as well as a Victorian partition leading to the stairs and function room.
