  • BADRAG Kingsdown Pub Walk Saturday 11 July 2026 Highbury Vaults

    Join members of the Bristol & District Rare Ales Group (BADRAG) on a leisurely stroll visiting 4-5 pubs in the Kingsdown area of Bristol, starting at 13:00 at The Highbury Vaults (164 St Michaels Hill, Bristol BS2 8DE).

    The walk will take in The Robin Hood and Hillgrove Porter Stores, and possibly 1-2 other pubs, tbc. Each of the pubs has committed to serving at least one dark and/or rare ale style for us to try; please come along and support them, and have an enjoyable social afternoon.

    First bus 72 stops close by. Leads: Pete Bridle and Dave Adams.

    Join us for a leisurely stroll around 4-5 pubs in the Kingsdown area of Bristol to sample some dark ales.

    Venturing out of Bristol to visit the seaside, we’ll take the train from Temple Meads to Weston-super-Mare; there are plenty of train services and some buses too - travel updates will be shared closer to the date. Join our WhatsApp group to stay connected with other BAD Ladies.

    We’ll aim for the High Street and head to the popular micropub, the Black Cat (135 High Street, Weston-super-Mare, BS23 1HN), Bristol & District CAMRA's runner-up for Cider Pub of the Year 2025 and 2026.

    Next, we’ll visit lively Fat Tap, Fat Head Brewery's new taproom (132 High Street, Weston-super-Mare, BS23 1HP), before calling in to the Brit Bar (118 High Street, Weston-super-Mare, BS23 1HP).

    If we’re still up for more, we may also visit Fork N' Ale Taproom & Kitchen (18 Walliscote Road, Weston-super-Mare, BS23 1UG) on our route back to the train station.

    Sat 1 Aug: Severn Beach Line rail trail with the Cardiff branch. Meet at Temple Meads at 11:30am for 11.47 Avonmouth train (11.10 from Weston-super-Mare then all stations to Avonmouth).

    First stop Shirehampton, then working back towards Temple Meads, stopping at stations with good real ale pubs nearby. All welcome, whether CAMRA members or not.
